Immediate Preparation (7-10 minutes).

1. If possible, arrange the participants so that they are sitting or standing in a semi-circle around the desk and in front of the board.

2. Spread the flashcards turned face down on the desk.

3. On the board, write 10 vocabulary categories. A typical list might look something like this:

Animals, Cities, Clothes, Colours, Countries, Family, Food, Furniture, Jobs,

Places in town

How to Play. To start the game, Player A comes to the desk and takes a card. Let us consider the letter 'N'. Then they, looking at the board, say, e.g.:

'..., New York, ..., ..., Norway, nephew, nut, ..., nurse, newsagent'

As a result, Player A gets six points by the number of said words. This time, it is Player B, whose turn to come to your desk and so on. In order to balance chances of the players, it is necessary to carry out two or three rounds, depending on the number of the participants. At the end of the activity, the number of points, accumulated by each participant during the whole competition, is counted up. The player, who gets the most points in total, becomes the winner of the game.
