Recommended Age: 12+
Number of Participants: 4-12 players.
Time: 20-25 minutes.
Materials: A piece of chalk / a marker.
Preliminary Preparation (5-7 minutes). Make a list of 10 things, which you can find, e.g. in a park. It may look like this:
bench, bird, bush, dog, flower, fountain, grass, path, playground, tree
Immediate Preparation (1-2 minutes). Ask the players to guess the words on your list.
How to Play. The game may start like this:
Player A: Is there 'tree' on your list?
You: Yes, there is.
Player A gets 1 point and you write 'tree' on the left side of the board.
Player B: Is there 'gate' on your list?
You: No, there isn't.
You write 'gate' on the right side of the board.
and so on.
After all the words on your list has been revealed, distribute around the classs the following public places:
beach, cafe, chemist, hospital, hotel, office, school, supermarket, theatre, train station, etc.
Next ask each player to make a similar list in their notebook. When everyone is ready, Player A comes to the board and leads the second round. The game lasts as long as all the 'secret lists have been disclassified'. At the end, the gained points are counted up. The winner is the player to get the most points in total.
