Recommended Age: 6-8 y.o.
Participants Number: 6-10 players.
Time: 15-20 minutes.
Equipment: Not required.
Materials: Pieces of chalk of different colours.
Preliminary Preparation: Not required.
Immediate Preparation (10-15 minutes): Draw a rectangle about 2 m high and so wide that all the children can easily stand within it. Divide the ‘picture’ in height into three roughly equal parts. Write 'sky' in the upper sector, 'sea' - in the middle one and 'land' – in the bottom. Ask the players to paint the ‘picture’ with birds, waves, flowers, etc., accordingly to the sectors.
How to Play. When the ‘picture is completed’, the children line ‘its frame’. Firstly ask, e.g.: 'Where's fish?' The players should jump into the sea sector. Secondly you ask, e.g.: 'Where's the sun?' and the children jump into the sky sector. Thirdly you ask, e.g.: 'Where are trees?' and the players must jump into the land sector. When you are sure that the children understand the rules, start the contest. In this, the player to last jump in the right sector or to set foot on its border is out of the game. It lasts as long as only the winner remains.
