Skills: Speaking.

Level: A2

Recommended Age: 16+

Participants Number: 6-10 players.

Time: 20-25 minutes.

Place: Any.

Equipment: Not required.

Materials: Not required.

Preliminary Preparation: Not required.

Immediate Preparation (5-7 minutes): Ask each player to think of some unusual experience (real or fictional), e.g.: 'I've flown in a helicopter!'

How to Play. When everybody is ready, Player A, playing the Munchausen, may start the game like this:

Player А: I've seen Prince Charles!

Player B: Where did you see him?

Player А: In London, near Buckingham palace.

Player C: Who was he with?

Player А: He was with his wife.

Player D: What were they doing?

Player А: They were walking towards the palace.

and so on.

After everyone asked his/her question to Player A, the participants take turns to say if they believe 'Munchausen' or not. Then Player A says if his/her sentence is true or false. As a result, 'Munchausen' gets as many points as the number of players, fooled by him. The game lasts as long as each participant plays the famous baron. At the end of the game, by the number of gained points, the best 'Munchausen' is determined.
