Preliminary Preparation: Not required.
Immediate Preparation. (5-7 minutes): Draw two lines at both ends of the playground. Write 'forest' behind one, 'village' behind the other and 'field' between them. Line the children up ‘on the village edge’.
How to Play. Player A calls out, e.g.: 'I'm going to the forest to hunt a bear!' and takes one step forward. Then Player B shouts out, e.g.: 'I'm going to the forest to hunt a fox!' and so on. If a child cannot make a sentence or repeats an animal’s name, he/she stands still, but does not leave the game! When all the players have taken their turns, the last in the line starts the second round, which goes in the other direction to balance chances of the players. The winner is the first child to get the ‘forest’.
