This game is designed to help new classmates to get to better know each other, while playing, in first lessons.
Skills: Writing, Speaking, Listening.
Recommended Age: 18+
Participants Number: 4-8 players.
Time: 20-25 minutes.
Equipment: Not required.
Materials: Not required.
Preliminary Preparation: Not required.
Immediate Preparation (10-15 minutes). Ask each player to write 10 sentences in their notebook, which describe the beginning of their typical working day.
How to Play. When everyone is ready, Player A starts to read out his/her list. After each sentence, he/she pauses to give the other players a chance to guess his/her job. The game may start like this:
Player А: I start work at 9 a.m.
Player B: Are you a bank clerk?
Player А: No, I'm not. First of all, I check my e-mail.
Player C: Are you a receptionist?
Player А: No, I'm not. Secondly, I make coffee for my boss.
Player D: Are you a personal assistant?
Player А: Yes, I am.
As a result, Player D gets 1 point. Now it is Player B's turn to read out his/her description and Player C's right to ask the first question, and so on. The game lasts as long as all the jobs have been revealed. At the end, the gained points are counted up. The winner is the player to get the most points in total.
